Meat CSA FAQ

Questions about Shipping

1. Where do you ship your meat to?

We ship our meat in the Upper Midwest - anywhere in Wisconsin, Minnesota, Illinois, and Iowa.

2. How do you ship the meat?

We ship all our meat with Fed Ex. The meat is packed inside an insulated tote bag inside an insulated cardboard box.

2. How quickly does the meat arrive?

We ship out on Mondays and Tuesdays and the packages arrive the following day.

3. What condition will the meat be in when it arrives?

It should still be mostly frozen. In the summer, there may be some thawing of smaller cuts around the edges but your meat will always be cool to the touch.

4. Do I need to get it in the freezer right way?

Yes! Especially in the summer. We recommend having a location worked out with your delivery driver that is out of direct sunlight.

5. Can I customize my meat share?

Yes! You can let us know which cuts you’d like included, or which you would like to avoid, and we can craft a customized meat share just for you. Just let us know your preferences in the comment box when you checkout.

You may want to leave a cooler out for us - especially in the summer.

3. When will i get my first meat bundle?

Not too long! Since we bring meat to Madison twice per month, the most you’ll have to wait is 1-2 weeks.
